Introduction：
In order to nurture the children living in the urban area an appreciation and awareness of local foods, the Department of Education and Taipei City Government have formulated  this project. 230 schools have launched their rooftop farms to allow their students to engage themselves in farming in this concrete jungle. Most schools have planted paddy rice, sweet potatoes, pumpkins and papaya. They also conduct farming related activities to teach students farming and harvesting.
