Introduction：
The Ginza Honeybee Project launched in 2006 aiming for coexistence between nature and the city through beekeeping. Rooftop bee gardens frequented by honeybees have since grown in number, and today even more delicious honey is available in the upscale shopping district. The rich honey collected is used to make various products sold by prestigious confectioners, department stores, and hotels.

Introduction：
Telecommunications corporation NTT launched this project as part of a larger green roof, choosing to grow sweet potatoes using aerohydroponics. Sweet potatoes have wide leaves, which can provide a cooling effect through higher transpiration rates, combating the urban heat island effect in Tokyo. People can enjoy the pleasure of harvest in the rooftop farm. It also functions as an environmental education material. This project has been expanded to elementary schools and different companies.

Introduction：
In order to nurture the children living in the urban area an appreciation and awareness of local foods, the Department of Education and Taipei City Government have formulated  this project. 230 schools have launched their rooftop farms to allow their students to engage themselves in farming in this concrete jungle. Most schools have planted paddy rice, sweet potatoes, pumpkins and papaya. They also conduct farming related activities to teach students farming and harvesting.

Introduction：
Under the Green Rooftop Project initiated by Taipei City Government and the Department of Economic Development, 12 public buildings have received subsidize to establish or expand their farms on rooftop. 2 of these farms are social service institutions and have conducted gardening treatment under the rooftop farm program. The aim of this project is to encourage citizens to experience urban farming within their home or community and promote sustainable lifestyle.

In the one of the biggest commercial centre in Shanghai, Kaide Qiba Roof Farm is found on the 4th floor roof. Advocating the green, healthy and environmentally-friendly concept, this farm provides a recreational and experiential platform of farming lifestyle to the residents in the urban area. They offer planters leasing, maintenance and teaching of vegetables growing to the users. They also have a farming home base nearby so healthy seedlings can be transported to the farm easily.
